Why do we celebrate welcome day? 

ANS : We celebrate Welcome Day in school to welcome new students and make them feel happy and comfortable.

 (1) Read and enact.

(All the friends meet at the playground.)

Mariya : Good evening, Saksham!  

Saksham : Hi everyone! Good evening.

Rutva : Nice to meet you. How was your vacation?

Zayd : It was awesome! I enjoyed a lot.

Saksham : I am so excited about the reopening of our school tomorrow.

Mariya : How did you prepare for the first day?

Rutva : I have bought a new blue bag.

Saksham : I have bought a new red water bottle.

Zayd : I am looking for my raincoat. I bought it last year.

Mariya : I have an umbrella. It has rainbow colours.

Saksham : You know what! Our school is organizing a programme called ‘Shala Praveshotsav’.

Rutva : What is that?

Zayd : It is a programme, to welcome the new learners, of every grade.

Mariya : That’s great!  

Saksham : All the classes are decorated beautifully. New learners will be welcomed by our teachers and parents, on the first day of school.

Rutva : I am really excited about the first day of school.

All together : Okay, let’s meet tomorrow morning at school.

Ans:I will sleep early.I will keep my books, uniform and bag ready for the first day of school.
